After our successful cooperation on the #JouwTrailNaarMontafon Salomon approached us with a project in which they wanted to hero the 6 trail runners of their Dutch Trailrunning Team, TeamSalomonNL. The object of this campaign is to tell the story of these amazing athletes. Not as superhuman sports heroes, but as real people with real lives, ambitions, fears, setbacks, and conquests. The project for Salomon has three main phases:

  1. In January 2019 we began with a series of video’s in which each member of TeamSalomonNL gave a short introduction, shared their individual and team goal to compete in the Marathon Du Mont Blanc in June 2019. And besides this, each invited their followers and fans to, in turn, share their big ambition. From these sign-ups, Salomon selects 1 person per trail runner who will become their buddy and who will be helped in reaching that goal by the team member they have been matched.
  2. February through May we will produce an in-depth video portrait of each of the TeamSalomonNL runners. They will share their lives and inner motivation with us and the audience of runners and trail runners who will no doubt be inspired by each individual story.
  3. The icing on our cake will be the video production of the Marathon du Mont Blanc and the teams’ participation in that event.

The beating heart of this campaign is the TeamSalomonNL website. That is where all the content we produce will land and where we build the multi-faceted portraits of our athletes. All the content we produce will find its way to and through social media to an ever-widening audience of lovers and fans of trail running. But the human element of our portraits will also have an appeal beyond the trail running community.
